Attorneys from Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Kirkland & Ellis, LLP will present on the history of voting rights and the current state of the law in Illinois and Indiana, as well as pro bono opportunities surrounding the midterm elections on November 8th. Chicago Lawyers’ Committee and Kirkland & Ellis together operate the Election Protection hotline (866-OUR-VOTE) for voters calling with questions from Illinois and Indiana. Learn about what challenges and opportunities they expect in the upcoming election and hear about opportunities to volunteer to support the hotline as a call center volunteer or as an in-person field volunteer (poll-watcher).
