We are at a historic moment in Chicago.

Fifty years ago, a group of prominent Chicago law firms and attorneys founded Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights to use the power of the private bar to fight pervasive racial discrimination. While we have made marked progress, we know that the struggle for equity and inclusion in is far from over in Chicago and across the state and nation. Today, we continue to partner with law firms and attorneys, community-based organizations, and civic, business, and philanthropic leaders to advance racial equity and economic opportunity for all in education, housing, voting, and community economic development.

As Chicago Lawyers’ Committee celebrates our 50th anniversary, we are building cross-sector support for our mission. Our new Corporate Leadership Council will bring the expertise and resources of corporations and businesses to help forge comprehensive solutions to the challenges we face. In this milestone year, we look to add civically minded businesses to help us confront and solve the systemic problems of racial disparity, segregation, and discrimination. The time is ripe to partner with us and secure a more prosperous and equitable future for our city and state.

Please join us as a founding member of our Corporate Leadership Council.
